Research on Regenerative Medicine

Regenerative medicine is an emerging specialty to research on the human body’s  ability to repair damage caused by disease, trauma or age. Neuro Biomed Corporation is developing novel biopharmaceutical that enable the neurological regeneration and normal growth of cells and tissues.

The demographics of an aging society have created social and medical mandate to improve quality of life, and an economic imperative to manage the escalating healthcare costs.

The number of individuals between 65 and 84 years of age, is expected to triple in 50 years while the number of people older than 85, is expected to grow six-fold. The population of 85 years of age or older use up twice the hospital care and over 20 times the nursing home care as those between 65 and 84.

The aging population requires urgent need for therapies that improve, restore or preserve the function of organs and tissues. Chronic degenerative diseases lead to a deteriorating quality of life and increase the cost of patient care.

There is a lack of therapies currently available to address the underlying loss of tissue and organ function inherent in degenerative disorders, malignancies, trauma, auto-immune disorders or other debilitating conditions.

In addition, the recent advances of human genome research create a new horizon of advanced therapies. Neuro Biomed's scientists is using massive genomic data to design a novel family of biopharmaceuticals that offer optimal efficacy and safety for the patients suffering from degenerative neurological diseases.
