Driven
by its mission to develop drugs with superior
safety and efficacy, Neurobiogen Corporationuses advanced methods of drug design, drug
delivery technology and screening tools to
invent new and to improve existing therapeutic
compounds for treatment of neurological
disorders. |
Neurobiogen's proprietary technologies have resulted
in products that have increased efficacy and/or
reduced side effects relative to their
precursors and to competing products.

|
Neurobiogen's
Drug Delivery Technology develops innovative
pharmaceutical products which utilize
proprietary delivery technologies to control the
release of the active substance. The company has
developed novel drug delivery technologies which
are designed to release drugs over periods
ranging from 24 hours to several months. |
Drug Delivery
Technology is the application of biochemical
engineering to solve the problems required to
most efficiently and safely deliver an active
pharmaceutical agent to the target site where it
can effectively exert the desired therapeutic
action.
 |
Our Drug Delivery
Technology Group focuses on the design,
development and formulation of an acceptable
dosage form and optimal dosage regime for
neurological application. Neuro Biomed' Drug
Delivery Systems are applicable to a wide range
of therapies and routes of administration
including parenteral, oral, topical, vaginal and
rectal.
Drug Delivery
System can be employed prospectively to more
efficiently deliver new chemical entities and
used retrospectively to optimize the delivery
systems of approved drugs. |
Effective use
of drug delivery technologies benefits both the
patient and the developer of the product, the
pharmaceutical or biotechnology company.
 |
Prior to
launch, a new chemical entity or a
biological product passes through a
number of different stagesfrom
discovery through Phase IIIbefore it
reaches the marketplace. Drug delivery
technologies can now be applied at any
stage during the early research and
development of a new drug, to optimize
the formulation and presentation of the
drug. |
Marketed
products may also benefit from the application
of drug delivery technologies. Drug delivery
technologies can be employed after approval to
improve the performance characteristics of a
marketed product.
These
technologies are combined with new or existing
active substances to create pharmaceutical
products targeted at market sectors where there
are opportunities to enhance therapy, reduce
side effects and improve compliance.
The MICROS Infusion System
The MICROS Infusion System has been developed using a patented nanostructure bio-electric membrane to control release of more than 100 injectable drugs for treatment of infectious diseases, cancer chemotherapy and cardiovascuar diseases.. Particularly, the MICROS has been customized for the intravenuous administration of NB-3108 for treatment of neurological diseases.
The MICROS Infusion System has been approved by the United Stated Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for marking in the USA.
